WIM DEMESSEMAEKERS

At the age of seven, Wim Demessemaekers got his very first camera. Everywhere he went, he took it with him, looking wide-eyed and full of wonderment at the world. Determined to document everything that was happening around him.

Many years later, his passion for photography led him to study sociology. As a keen student of human nature, he understands that you need to know the smaller stories to see the bigger picture.

After his studies, Wim unleashed his passion for photography in numerous communication projects. Sharing his know-how about visual storytelling and the strong narrative power it contains. For 12 years he successfully ran his own communication agency. Developing influential campaigns for blue-chip clients like Proximus, Johnson & Johnson, BNP Paribas Fortis and many others.

However, his first passion called upon him and Wim decided to entirely focus on his professional photography career. Through his lenses he looks at the world. Showing his unique style by capturing the extraordinary beauty of our little blue planet and all its fascinating stories.
